inConversation is an aggregation of blog posts related to Campus Crusade for Christ International. It’s a place where:

You can keep up to date on what’s happening around the world in CCC.

Get in contact with others who share the same passions as you.

Add your own blog to those that are aggregated.

We’ve just finished setting everything up on the new server, but you can expect more blogs to be added to the site very soon! Word has it that there may be some influential CCC bloggers signing up, why not join them?!

The site is user-drivern. Check out the wiki for documentation and upcoming features, etc!

I’d like to say a special thank-you to Keith Seabourn and his team at the Global Technology Office for encouragement and resourcing to make this happen!

Note: For those who were wondering, this post has nothing to do with the drink, and everything to do with my inner geek.

This post is to give some info on how to get the lyrics presentation software Openlp working on your Linux install. I didn’t really have to do any tinkering, things pretty much just worked. Here is my setup:

Multiple monitor setup already working in Linux, with KDE and Xinerama.

Wine 0.9.57 (configured as Windows XP)

Openlp 1.0

I ran the installation with Wine, and everything seemed to go smoothly. Once running Openlp, the display settings drop down box has an option to display lyrics on “Monitor 2 on X11 Windowing System”.

The only thing I’ve had problems with so far is displaying alerts; no text ever seems to show (just the red background). Not sure if this is an Openlp bug or a Wine problem yet. Hope this post helps someone!
