I recently got my new phone, the Nokia E61i. One of the shortcomings however is that is is missing the ability to dial letters in a phone number (known as “vanity dialing”, apparently). I looked around, but didn’t find any solutions. So I made my own solution, which was to add a small picture of an alphanumeric phone keypad to the wallpaper I use (to serve as a reminder for which letters go with which numbers).

You’ll find a link to this below. The “user-defined” option for the wallpaper under “themes” will allow you to use your own picture for active-standby (the picture seems to disappear when you use the menu, which is perfect for this situation).

Black background with keypad in place.
Keypad image (with transparent background so you can put this on your own wallpaper) .

Slowing Down

When you’ve been extremely busy for a long time, how do you slow down? When things are flat out, and there’s always more work to do (and believe me, there is always more work to do…), how do you begin to relax a little more? It would be easy to stop completely, and ‘veg out’, but I know that this isn’t necessarily the best way to do things (because then you loose motivation to work on some things).

I’m sure this has a lot to do with how our relationship with God is growing, because we need to make sure we don’t forget to look to God for rest, and to make sure we continually trust in him (and I know that this is certainly an area for me to work on). What are some other tips for slowing down from the crazy pace of life?
